Response

"Wow! I'm shocked! Where's your loyalty as an American citizen? No matter what your disagreement is with any president, he is still your president. No one should ever disrespect a president---not ever. We should always remain loyal to our president--------especially when the disrespect comes from a different country. It may have been just a shoe, but it was disrespect just the same. How would you have felt if it had happen to Obama?"

That was a comment from my grandmother. Anyway, I would feel the same. It doesn't matter who he is. I would have a problem if he shot the president, but harmfully throwing shoes is a whole different story. If some guy you didn't know killed your family and friends, I'm sure that you would be pretty mad too. And anyway, just because I have my opinion, you are telling me that I have no loyalty? Are you kidding me? And don't go trying to tell me that you didn't say that because it is right here: "Where's your loyalty as an American citizen?" My dream is to serve this country, and you, my family, should know that better than anyone. It might be disrespect, but the guy felt that George W. Bush had disrespected him. If he had thrown a shoe at any other American, you wouldn't care. George W. Bush is not a symbol of this country. The American flag is a symbol. He might be a leader, but I'm sure Bush himself would tell you that he is a person just like anybody else. And Barack Obama would do the same.

Opinion: Warren Buffett's Granddaughter

All I can say is wow.  Wow.  Warren Buffett excluding his granddaughter from his family?  Really?  Wow.
Nicole Buffett is the granddaughter of Warren Buffett.  Warren Buffett has turned into a synonym for money.  Yet, his granddaughter receives no money.  She lives on $40,000 a year and has no healthcare and no cable.  Read this article.

Opinion: Are Robots Smarter Than Humans?

No.  Think about it.  How could a robot ever be smarter than a human?  Who programs computers?  Humans.  A computer gets all of its knowledge from humans.  Without humans, computers are nothing but a bunch of wires.  So think about it.  The programmer of the computer knows just as much as the computer. So, the answer is no.  YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?

Opinion: Sam Bradford Winning the Heisman

I was rather surprised about this.  Lets look at the facts.

Most Pass Attempts: Gram Harrell (568)
Most Completions: Gram Harrell (406)
Most Yards: Gram Harrell (4747)
Greatest Completion Percentage: Colt McCoy (77.6)
Most Average Yards Per Attempt: Sam Bradford (10.1)
Most Passing Touchdowns: Sam Bradford (48)
Least Amount of Interceptions: Tim Tebow (2)
Most Rushing Touchdowns: Colt McCoy (10)

The pass attempts, completions, and yards are all held by Harrell, but that is expected when he has more than 100 more attempts than anybody else.  McCoy has the best completion percentage, which I think is one of the most important factors.  Bradford did have the most overall touchdowns, but that and the most YPA are the only two things that he led in.  Is that enough to win the Heisman?  I don't think so.  I would have voted for McCoy because he could obviously pass (77.6 CP), but he could also run (10 rushing touchdowns).  That shows that his team trusts him, which is another important thing for me.

Opinion: Throwing Shoes at the President

When I first heard this, I laughed.  My first opinion is that this is okay.  Now, my mother is currently arguing that I should be mad at this.  Now, you can argue about this, or laugh it off and go home.  My mother, who is arguing with me, was laughing when she heard it too.  George W. Bush wasn't hurt.  Nobody was, except for Muntazer al-Zaidi, the shoe thrower.  Apparently, he has been tortured, and has some broken bones.  I can't say if it's true or not, but if it is, I think that that is horrible.  Back on topic, I'm sure a lot of U.S. citizens want to do the same thing.  They wouldn't do it, because they are scared of rotting in jail, but they still want to.  He's not a terrorist, or he would've just bombed the place.  You can say F*** him because he's our president, and you can't throw shoes at him, but don't come crying to me if you've EVER said ONE bad thing about Bush.

Opinions

Okay, I'm going to be writing a segment about things that I have opinions on.  The things will be about current news, sports, politics, and other things.  I will post a new one almost every day, but sometimes I just don't have the time.  Feel free to comment them and tell me your opinions on the topic.  Each blog will be titled Opinion: _______ so that you can find them.

I Made the Finals!

Well, this was unexpected.  It was a miracle that I won the first game, the only reason being Antonio Bryant's 32 point game.  Now, I beat Ehren for the second time, and I'm in the Championship.  Now the only question is: Who will I play?  I could play Viking World Order, the number 8 seed, who beat the number 1 seed in a major upset, or I could play my mom, Fuzzy Dice.  It's up to the Eagles on Monday Night Football!

Buffalo Sabres @ Pittsburgh Penguins

Saying that the Penguins are finally on TV down here in Richmond, VA, I will do a game summary throughout the game.

Buffalo Sabres @ Pittsburgh Penguins from Mellon Arena (12/8/08)

Opening Statement:  This looks like a good match up for the Penguins, saying that the Sabres have lost eight of their last eleven games.  The last time that Buffalo scored more than four goals was November 1st, and they've scored two or fewer in nine of their last fifteen games.  The Sabres defense will have a rough time tonight, as they are playing the NHL's two leading scorers at the same time in Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby.  Last Saturday, when these two teams last played, the Sabres won a close 4-3 game, thanks to their penalty killing.  They stopped all seven Penguin power plays, and the penalty kill is probably their best asset.  Evgeni Malkin loves playing against the Sabres, as he has a four-game point streak against them, scoring three goals and six assists in that span.  This is the 79th straight game that the Penguins have sold out.  The game starts NOW!

Goalies:  Ryan Miller (Buffalo) and Dany Sabourin (Pittsburgh)

Summary:

1:00 - Pens fans start the well known chant of "LETS GO PENS!"

3:02 - Buffalo penalty ( Maxim Afinogenov - too many men on the ice)

7:06 - Pittsburgh penalty (Brooks Orpik - Hooking)

9:37 - Pittsburgh goal (G: Ruslan Fedotenko, A: Evgeni Malkin, Petr Sykora)

11:07 - Buffalo goal (G: Derek Roy A: Unassisted)

15:15 - Pittsburgh goal (G: Ruslan Fedotenko A: Evgeni Makin, Petr Sykora)

18:03 - Buffalo penalty (Jason Pominville - Hooking)

19:40 - Buffalo penalty (Thomas Vanek - Delay of game)

Alright.  That was the first period.  I am going to watch Monday Night Football now to see Antonio Bryant get my 17.50 points for Fantasy Football.  Pray for him!  Go BUCS!  AND PENS!

Movie Summary: Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh

Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh was the first TV movie that brought tears to my eyes.  The movie is a great movie about Drake and Josh helping a girl have the best Christmas ever.

Summary:

The movie stats off with Walter and Audrey (Drake and Josh's parents) leaving for a tropical vacation.  Josh doesn't think that they should go, because they should be home for Christmas.  Once Drake returns home, Drake and Josh decide to go to the mall.  At the mall, Drake announces that he will be throwing a Christmas party on the roof of the mall.  Helen, Josh's boss, reveals that she approves of this party.  Helen then hands Drake a Santa costume, and tells him that he is going to play Santa for the day at the mall.  While in this costume, Drake meets a young girl named Mary Alice.  When Drake asks her what she wants for Christmas, she tells him that she wants for her family to have the best Christmas ever.  Drake makes a Christmas promise to her, which everyone knows you can't break.
During Drake's Christmas party on the roof of the mall, party crashers crash the party.  Josh gets framed as a party crasher, and is sent to jail.  After Josh is taken to jail, he is put in a cell with Bludge (Kimbo Slice), who turns out to be his new roommate.  Drake, who needs Josh's help to keep the promise he made to Mary Alice, attempts to break Josh out of jail.  Drake ends up getting caught, and is put in jail along with Josh.
When Drake and Josh are sent to the judge, he decides that he will keep them out of jail, as long as they keep their Christmas promise to Mary Alice.  He says that on Christmas, he will personally ask everybody in her family if it is the best Christmas ever.  After the judge talks to them, they meet their parole officer, a man named Perry Newman.  Perry makes it his goal to make Drake and Josh have the most difficult time possible while trying to keep their Christmas promise.  It turns out that Mary Alice lives in a foster home with five other kids, and their foster parents don't have enough money to have a great Christmas.  Drake and Josh find out that to make the kids have the best Christmas, they have to be in the annual Christmas parade.  When Perry finds out about this, he tells Crazy Steve, who yells everything that he says, to remind Drake and Josh that they could go to jail.  When he screams this out, the kids think that Drake and Josh only did everything to stay out of jail.  The kids leave, and Drake and Josh know that they are going to prison.
Once Drake and Josh realize that they are going to jail, Drake still wants to keep his promise to Mary Alice.  He knows that she has always wanted to see snow, so Drake and Josh decide to make it snow at her house.  First, they try to figure out why Perry hates them.  They figure out that he hates Christmas.  He hates Christmas because he had always wanted a monkey for Christmas, and when he finally got one, it attacked him.  The boys decide to send him a kind monkey, which would make him like Christmas.
When Drake and Josh try to make it snow at Mary Alice's house with a wood chipper, they accidentally spread hail all over the neighborhood.  Drake and Josh get knocked out, and get taken home by the now nice, Officer Perry.
When Drake and Josh wake up, they are at home.  Perry tells them that thanks to them, he loves Christmas again.  Sadly, he still has to arrest them.  When they are escorted downstairs, they are surprised by the kids, who don't hate them anymore.  Mary Alice tells them that they tried to make it snow, and that was the best thing that anyone had ever done for them.  When the kids are asked whether they had the best Christmas ever, the unanimously say yes.  The movie ends with it snowing outside, and Mary Alice finally getting to see snow.  THE END!

Pittsburgh Penguins Rocking and Rolling Again

Just a year after making it to the Stanley Cup, the Penguins are looking like they are on the track to making it again this year.  The Pittsburgh Penguins, who are at 14-6-4, are second in their division, and fourth in their conference.  Leading the Atlantic division and the Eastern conference with an 18-8-2 record, the New York Rangers look like the toughest opponent for the Penguins.  You know the Penguins are doing good if you look at the NHL stats, as the top two point scorers in the league are Penguin players, in Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby.  On December 23, I will be going to the Tampa Bay Lightning @ Pittsburgh Penguins game at Mellon Arena.  Hopefully, on Christmas Eve, I should have more info on the Penguins.  For now, here are some Penguins stats as of December 4th, 2008.

Record: 14-6-4
Team Points: 32

Leading Point Scorers:
Evgeni Malkin (39) (#1 in NHL)
Sidney Crosby (35) (#2 in NHL)

Practice Field Problems Again for the Steelers

Remember when Willie Parker stepped in a hole and missed the next game?  Well, the same thing might be happening to Big Ben Roethlisberger.  Big Ben slipped and fell when throwing a pass, and sat out for the remainder of the practice.  Luckily, Ben doesn't think that he has a serious injury, and he should play this Sunday.  In Roethlisberger's absence, Byron Leftwich took the snaps, and apparently, was looking pretty good.  Still, this makes you wonder about the condition of the Steelers' practice field.  With two major players being injured as a result of the same field, we could have more problems to come.

NCAA Basketball Division 1 AP Poll

1. North Carolina
2. UConn
3. Pitt
4. Duke
5. Gonzaga

Pitt and their amazing 7-0 basketball team is ranked third in the nation.  How amazing are they?  Very amazing.  Saying that the football team is ranked 23 in the BCS poll, and made a bowl game for the first time since Walt Harris was coach in 2004, this might be a good year for the University of Pittsburgh.  That is without mentioning that the Individual National Champion wrestler is on the Pitt team, and the women's basketball team is ranked 24th in the nation.  Who could imagine?
